Refinery Piping & Vessels (CUI/CUF)

Rapid, high-resolution imaging of internal and external corrosion through insulation and weather jacket through fire proofing with wire mesh is provided, including quantitative sizing and real-time reporting. Solutions are available for piping and vessels in a wide range of diameters, insulation thickness, and wall thickness. The JENTEK solution with the new 8200 series product offers distinct advantages over alternative methods for CUI, such as pulsed ET.

In-Ditch Pipeline, Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC)

MWM-Array, flexible eddy current sensing, provides a reliable alternative to magnetic particle inspection (MPI) for SCC crack colony mapping. In addition, MWM-Arrays provide crack depth sizing and digitized records that enable more practical in ditch inspection services. Furthermore, inspections can be performed through coatings under many conditions. This method is now available for field trials and field services.

Pipeline ILI (Corrosion, Cracks, Stress)

Rapid, high-resolution imaging of internal corrosion, internal initiated cracks and relative stresses is provided using MWM-Array technology in an ILI tool. Unique capabilities include extremely high data rates capable of high resolution imaging at 15 m/s travel speed with no sensor contact required and variable sensor to pipe wall gaps tolerated. The JENTEK PIG-ITâ„¢ product is being developed under PRCI and other industry funding and will be available soon.

Deepwater Pipelines and Risers (Corrosion)

Under industry and internal funding JENTEK is transitioning a unique solution for deep water and shallow water inspection of pipelines, risers etc. with wet insulation for internal and external corrosion. This technology is the only practical solution available for imaging of corrosion through thick insulation on concrete weight-coat for deepwater applications.

Accelerated Damage Test Monitoring

JENTEK offers a unique product line for monitoring accelerated fatigue, corrosion, and thermo-mechanical damage suitable for piping, pipelines, vessels and complex oil and gas industry components. Demonstrated capabilities include crack initiation and growth monitoring (including depth sizing), internal and external corrosion monitoring, SCC colony imaging, mechanical damage site crack initiation monitoring, applied stress and residual stress monitoring and monitoring through coatings, insulation and composites. Real-time monitoring can be provided using permanently installed one and two dimensional arrays or manual/automated scanning solutions.

Stress Monitoring

Non-contact and volumetric stress monitoring is provided using JENTEK MSG (Magnetic Stress Gauge) Technology. This includes real time, non-contact torque measurement on rotating shafts without shaft modification; stress/strain monitoring through coatings, composites, insulation and even insulation with weather jacketing using projected magnetic fields; and imaging of stresses using scanning arrays from outside piping/pipelines/vessels or integrated into an ILI tool. Very high data rates are also possible for failure diagnostics in rotating machinery. NO BOND INTEGRITY REQUIRED.

Crack Monitoring

Permanently installed one and two dimensional MWM-Array and MR-MWM-Array solutions provide an unprecedented capability to detect crack initiation and monitor crack growth in a service environment for piping, pipelines, vessels and other oil and gas industry assets. This includes capabilities to monitor crack growth through insulation with weather jacketing, through composite repairs and fire proofing. Crack sizing is also provided for both surface-breaking and buried defects.
