Software Engineer
This opportunity is for a full-time, salaried software engineer. JENTEK’s GridStation software is a powerful data acquisition and data processing tool used as stand-alone software or in combination with JENTEK’s measurement instrumentation and sensors. Currently we are transitioning GridStation from desktop to a client/server mobile format with many future developments planned. The ideal candidate will have experience developing user interfaces for touchscreen mobile devices and for analyzing and visualizing technical data, as well as back end server/client APIs. Experience writing hardware interfaces is also a plus, as is a strong background in mathematics and numerical methods. Familiarity with C++, Ruby, HTML5, JavaScript, Python, and MATLAB is a plus. Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.
Electronics or Senior Electronics Engineer
JENTEK is looking for an entry to mid-level engineer, 2 to 10 years experience, to fill an electronics design engineering position. The position requires an understanding of analog, digital and FPGA design. Primary areas of focus are board level design and troubleshooting and FPGA design using VHDL or Verilog. Ability to communicate with technicians, senior engineers and customers is critical. Knowledge of the following is beneficial: OrCad or Altium, Spice and VHDL, or Verilog, including design and verification. Programming experience in C++ or any other object-oriented language is a plus. B.S.E.E. required for the entry level Electronics position with at least 2 years experience in a technical area. M.S.E.E and 4 years experience or B.S.E.E. with 7 years experience is required for the Senior Electronics position.
IT Systems Administrator
Part time (15-25 hours/week) – This position requires expertise in Microsoft Windows Server based networks, Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft operating systems including Windows XP, Windows 7, and Windows 8. Ideal candidate will also have experience setting up mobile device platforms (e.g., MS Phone, MS Surface, Android, iPhone) for remote access to corporate email, calendar, etc. This position will also require providing IT support for executive team members. Thus strong communication and “customer” support skills are needed to deal with time critical needs. The position includes flexible hours but requires availability outside of business hours for technical support in evenings and weekends including support for personnel traveling overseas. Software programming skills and/or web design skills are desired but not required. There may be an opportunity for this position to grow into a full time position as our IT staffing needs grow. Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.
