The jET® (JENTEK Eddy Current Tester) is small and convenient to use as a hand-held unit, but can be integrated onto the end of a robot arm or into customized scanners/automated solutions. It weighs less than 1 lb., is typically powered through an Ethernet connection (e.g., POE), and requires use of an external computer running Windows and JENTEK’s GridStation® software.
Specifications: 7-Channels, support for MWM-Array eddy current sensors and MWM single channel sensors, three frequency simultaneous data acquisition from 2.5Hz to 20MHz (depending on material and application needs), up to 7 channels of impedance measurement simultaneously (including real and imaginary parts of the impedance simultaneous), works with JENTEK GridStation software to perform calibration (typically in air following ASTM E2338 and E2884) and process data using JENTEK’s Multivariate Inverse Methods (MIMs) for rapid analysis.
Applications Include: surface and subsurface crack detection, weld inspection, coating thickness measurement and coating characterization, corrosion imaging (surface and subsurface), carbon fiber composite quality and damage imaging (for fiber damage only), characterization of ferrous and nonferrous metals, unique capability to support relatively rough surfaces with minimal surface preparation.
